Cake for a man is always difficult to do.
So here is some idea how to succeed :
Instead of delicate piping around the base of the cake I've chosen Sugarpaste Beads - this way it doesn't look so feminine.
The brick impression gives the man's touch.
Cake is coated with white sugarpaste and on the top of the cake is a sign dedicated to the honoured person.

This cake was a bit special. It was for my sister, for her birthday.
8" oval Chocolate sponge with dark chocolate ganache covered with marzipan and purple sugarpaste.
The sugar skirt is made of 3 shade sugarpaste to ensure soft touch and romantic visage.
Few golden birds in front carrying tiny lace and a lot of beads all around piped using golden royal icing.
